THE SPACE COAST PROFESSIONAL CHAPTER · CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA
NSBE Space Coast · Cape Canaveral

Built where the rockets launch.

The Space Coast professional chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers. We develop, mentor, and place Black engineers in the industry that carries the country into orbit.

The chapter

A home for Black engineers on the Space Coast.

Since six students founded NSBE in 1975, it has grown into one of the largest organizations led by and for Black engineers in the world. The Space Coast chapter was chartered in August 2024, in the same corridor that launches the country's rockets.

We are dedicated to professional development, mentoring, and career placement for engineers and technical professionals, and we build partnerships with the companies, agencies, and collegiate chapters across the region.

Founded 1975

NSBE began with six students at Purdue University and a conviction that engineering belonged to them too.

A 20,000 strong network

Members across collegiate, professional, and junior chapters make NSBE one of the largest student governed organizations in the country.

Chartered August 2024

The Space Coast professional chapter stood up at Cape Canaveral, where the industry it serves launches.

Questions, answered.

The essentials on joining, membership, and partnering with the chapter. Reach out any time if yours is not here.

Who can join NSBE Space Coast?
Engineers and technical professionals on the Space Coast, students, and anyone who supports the mission. You do not have to work in aerospace to belong.
Do I have to be an engineer already?
No. The chapter supports members from student through senior professional, and NSBE Jr. reaches young students long before college.
